In addition to funding programs that increase women's economic self-sufficiency,
and help girls fulfill their potential, the Women's Foundation sponsors
these programs:
- Voices of Experience consists of a biographical introduction and "open mike" session where girls grades 8-12 can ask questions to a panel of professional women from the local community. Panelists are from a variety of professions including medicine, the media, the arts, business, human service and retail. The "open mike" portion of the program is a highlight. Girls are encouraged to ask any question on their mind...and they do! The program is followed by refreshments and a reception where the girls can personally meet the panelists.
